Welcome to another great season with the Hungary Creek Marlin Swim Team

The team needs over (50) Hungary Creek adult volunteers in place during each of the (6) regular season swim meets; more at home meets. At this time the team is requiring each family to sign up for (2) or more meet halves throughout the regular season. Volunteer requirements will be finalized after we have a final count of registered swimmers.
Please review the list of meet positions and meet dates so that your family is prepared to sign up for volunteer shifts at registration. Note that certified positions such as referee, strokes & turns and starter will be scheduled separately.
If your family is unable to attend registration please e-mail meet, position and shift preferences to the Volunteer Coordinator. Please include any special considerations if applicable.
Any questions, please e-mail: Volunteer Coordinator.

GRAL Certification Training

GRAL is in the process of scheduling clinics for the 2009 swim season. Please check the GRAL Web Site for information on certified officials and clinic updates.
THE TEAM IS IN NEED OF TRAINED VOLUNTEERS. Some of our volunteers work every meet, either the whole meet or half of it. Their feet and their brains could use a little rest. Refer to the Swim Team Handbook (pages 4 & 5) to see what volunteer positions we use at each meet (and other times during the swim team season) and their descriptions and see if you can help out. Please consider taking a class to see what some of these positions are all about. Some teams require that someone from each family take a class; we do not want to resort to that but the swim team season cannot run without your help.
Notes:
  • All Stroke and Turns are urged to attend the new certification clinic even if they certified last year. There will be a test online.
  • There will be a certification clinic for the Starter with a test online.
  • Referee must attend a certification clinic each year.
  • Clerk of Course will have a certification clinic and they are working on a test to be taken online.
  • Head Table worker is a training clinic, no test. All table workers should try to attend this training (we promise not to force you to be a head table worker).
